Value City Arena is prominently located on the Ohio State University campus, accessible from multiple directions. Its position near major highways provides convenient access for visitors throughout Ohio and neighboring states. Location and Address

Value City Arena at the Schottenstein Center is located at 555 Borror Drive, Columbus, Ohio, on the northwest side of Ohio State University. The venue is approximately three miles north of downtown Columbus, near the intersection of Lane Avenue and Olentangy River Road.

The arena’s position provides visibility from State Route 315. Four distinctive rotundas mark the corners of the building, and the northeastern edge houses the main ticket office and team shop.

Driving Directions

Approaching Value City Arena varies depending on your starting point. Here are a few recommended routes to avoid traffic congestion:

• From the south (Cincinnati/I-71 North): 
  Take SR-315 North to Exit 5 (Ackerman Road), turn right on Ackerman, then right on Fred Taylor Drive

• From the northeast (Cleveland/I-71 South): 
  Take I-270 West to SR-315 South, continue to Exit 5 (Ackerman Road), turn left, proceed under the bridge, then right on Fred Taylor Drive.

• From the northwest (Toledo/I-75 South): 
  Follow US-23 South/SR-315 to Exit 5 (Ackerman Road), turn left at the light, proceed under the bridge, then right on Fred Taylor Drive

• From the east (Pittsburgh/I-70 West): 
  Continue to I-70 West, take exit 99C to SR-315 North, follow Exit 5 (Ackerman Road), turn right, then right on Fred Taylor Drive

• Alternative routes
  To avoid Lane Avenue congestion include the Medical Center Drive, North Broadway, or Kinnear Road exits from SR-315

Public Transportation Options

Columbus offers limited but useful public transportation options for reaching Value City Arena, primarily through the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) bus network. COTA routes #1 and #31 provide service near the arena, with stops along Lane Avenue and Olentangy River Road. Ohio State students and staff can use the university’s campus bus service during normal operating hours.

During select major events, special shuttles sometimes operate from designated park-and-ride locations, particularly from Buckeye Lots. Columbus lacks light rail or subway systems, so buses are the primary form of public transportation.

Rideshare and Taxi Information

Rideshare services and taxis provide convenient transportation alternatives. Passenger drop-off occurs along Borror Drive on the north side, while post-event rideshare pickup occurs primarily at St. John Arena down Lane Avenue.
