Football season, homecoming, tests and late night cramming seshes at the Thompson straight into the holidays and now back again with basketball season - the fun of college never ends! But now it’s winter - and in the Midwest that means a big yuck as well all know. So a little top of the year concert that will heat us up and have us screaming at the top of our lungs. And you know how we get down here at the Schottenstein - and January 25th isn’t gonna be much different either. Nope - we got BIG TIME RUSH coming for an extension of their 2025 Real Life Tour - now dubbed the 2026 College Dropout Tour. Why? The boys didn’t go to college, true - but they ARE hitting every college campus they can, getting us SUPER cheap tickets, and arena styled performances right here in our backyard. And it’s SELECTIVE y’all - this tour is barely going anywhere - only hitting stops like UIUC and University Park, Wisco and The Pinnacle in Nebraska too. But no other stop is as goated as night #2 - right here with us at OSU!

The massive boy band and pop group, known primarily for their TV show with the same name, was formed in 2009 and active until 2014 before being revitalized in 2021. The band is made up of Kendall, James, Logan, and Carlos, and their claim to fame was the Nickelodeon TV show that starred the group playing as themselves and becoming a successful pop group. In the first episode, their hit song Big Time Rush gains massive traction and see the group propel into stardom. And it worked - the group gained massive attention from teenagers and music insiders alike from their catchy songs and infectious melodies. Some of their biggest songs include their singles from 2010 - Any Kind of Guy, Famous, City is Ours, and Halfway There - which peaked on the Billboard 100 at 93. 

And their fame wasn’t just contained to the big screen, either. Since making it big, the group has headlined 10 tours across the world - mainly hitting rounds in the States and North America, but also touring in Europe, Asia, and Australia. They also tour 3 million + monthly listeners on Spotify STILL to this day. From all of their tours and hundreds of thousands of tickets sold, the biggest flex is the group’s impact comes from their music and the tour last summer. There’s no doubt they have that nostalgic feel that the boys can instantly turn up from their dedicated and, albeit much older, screaming and obsessive fans (AKA us).

This show is going to be MASSIVE - bigger than Big some might even say - and tickets are already going fast (they are $30 after all if you’ve got that Student ID card on you) So grab yours today, and maybe a few extra for your high school girl gang, too.
